Trademark Registration Process On The Sidebrief App

Step 1: Register an account with Sidebrief by logging in to app.sidebrief.com/register, on there you will be asked to fill in your personal information, such as your name, email address, password, phone number, etc. Ensure that you can remember your password because you will need it to sign up to the dashboard after logging in and going all through the process. 

Step 2:  After the successful completion of the registration process, you will be brought to this place, go under products, and click on “INTELLECTUALS ” to begin your trademark registration process. 

Step 3: Click on create intellectual property to begin the trademark registration process, you will be required to fill in your operation country, and product, also you will submit a means of ID and what you need to be trademarked. This information is needed to get the necessary information of what needs to be trademarked. 

Step 4: Immediately after your information has been filled in via the app, the next step is to proceed to payment. As seen below, to get your logo, product or service trademarked you will be required to pay the sum of N80,000 through Flutterwave. If you are having difficulty paying via the online system, you can send a mail to hello@sidebrief.com so you can be assisted with the payment process. 

Step 5: After payment has been paid, the next step of the registration process is to fill in your personal information ( full name, email address, address, and phone number), when this is correctly filled in, you will be asked to list the product or service you want to get trademarked. 

Step 6: On here, you are required to upload means of identification or incorporation, you are also required to upload a logo or mark to be trademarked. 

Step 7: The next process immediately after your documents have been uploaded is to review all the information submitted, after this is done, you click next to submit your application.

Your application has been submitted and it will take four working weeks to complete.  The trademark registration process in Nigeria cannot solely be done online, manual liaison with the Trademark registry is still extremely important to hasten and facilitate the registration of trademarks in Nigeria.
