A Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) is a documentary evidence confirming that a tax payer is up to date with tax payment and have met all applicable tax obligations at the date of issue. It is issued by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and to ensure compliance with tax regulations, the GRA has implemented an automated TCC system. See statement below :
“From June, 2022, Tax Clearance Certificate will be automated. With your Ghana Card PIN, you will know if you are Tax complaint or not,” Mr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah the Commissioner -General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), tweeted.
He also warned professional bodies who are giving their members certification without Tax Clearance Certificate.

“All professional bodies who are giving their members certification without Tax’ Clearance Certificate should know that we (@GhanaRevenue) are monitoring and the law will be implemented. #OurTaxesOurFuture #ghanarevenueauthority #GRAgoescashless,” he said.
